Lineker Claims There Are Only Three Clubs That Harry Kane Would Join This Summer

Former Tottenham and England striker Gary Lineker believes Harry Kane may only be open to signing for Manchester City, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Chelsea have also been mentioned as a potential option but Lineker says that Spurs’s rivalry with the London club would make it difficult for Kane to join them, suggesting a move to Manchester is likelier:

“I think it is between Manchester City, Manchester United and maybe PSG. They have [Mauricio] Pochettino and he would win things, guaranteed. I think it is more likely that one of the Manchester clubs can afford him outside of Chelsea. I don’t think he would go to Chelsea and do that to the Tottenham fans but who knows?”

It does appear as though City would have to free up funds if they want to go after Kane. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is believed to be demanding between £120m and £150m for the 27-year-old.

That could be why there have been reports in recent days that the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling and even Bernardo Silva may well be available for transfer.

In addition to Kane, reports indicate Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish is another player that manager Pep Guardiola wants to sign so there could be a significant overhaul of the first-team squad in the coming weeks and months.
